TRL or tunable resurfacing laser is an erbium laser (2940 nm) designed to correct signs of aging, sun damage and address deeper wrinkles. It can be adjusted to your personal needs and is a very precise. We tailor it to the different depths of skin depending on the area we are treating. It can also be used more around the eyelids to remove fine lines and wrinkles. While the healing time is longer than MOXI or HALO, it is also transformative for deeper lines. We use a combination of topical cream, local anesthesia and sometimes sedation for the procedure. You will need about 2 weeks of downtime and daily care for your skin as well as sun avoidance. Skin may remain a pink for several weeks but can be covered with make up. Daily high quality sunblock as well as sun avoidance is important in the healing period. We recommend Elta MD UV Clear for daily use. Erbium laser is a significant improvement over C02 laser which created much more heat in the skin. TRL laser has less heat generated in the skin which promotes quicker healing and less risk of hyperpigmentation. TRL laser can transform your skin and correct years of sun damage and signs of aging with a longer healing time, the results are worth it.
